Pantyhose tug of war?

And now for something completely different...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba8OGkwgPOc

Apparently the Japanese have a pantyhose over the head game to!

Now does that look fun or what!

Pantyhose make you look younger

Two weeks ago, I posted about wearing pantyhose home from the dentist. Well it seems that the dentist had more work to do the other day. It was much warmer, so I wore cargo shorts and a t-shirt. I took a cheap pair of No-Nonsense tan hose with me. After my appointment, I had a couple of errands to run. I went into a bathroom at Wal Mart, and put the hose on, and completed my errands. On the way home, I stopped for gas. There was a liquor store there, so I stopped in for a bottle. Now, I am way over 21. The clerk carded me! I'm sure it was because of my very casual dress. But maybe the hose helped me look younger!

I would have posted this yesterday, but "Dancing with the Stars" trumped it!

Men in tights on "Dancing with the Stars"

I was hoping to find a video or picture to post, but I guess it is too early. Mrs. PH was watching "Dancing with the Stars" as I was prepping something to eat. I guess they were doing a group dance type thing and they were dancing to "Single Ladies" In the dance the men pulled off their pants to reveal leotards and white tights! The audience went wild!

Very nice to see that we've crested 4K visits, read and comment often!

Nothing new in the world of Pantyhose

I've been meaning to write, but nothing has been coming to me to write. The weather has finally warmed up, so I think it will be months before I wear hose or tights under my pants to work.

In the warmer weather, I wear the Comfilon A149 Sheer socks or the A409 Opaque socks. It still gives my feet the feel of hose, but they are not as warm as wearing full length pantyhose. Warmer weather is good for wearing hose and shorts though!

Looks like we are coming up on 4K views. Bravo readers, thanks for reading!

Running tights with sheer panels

I went to a fitness expo yesterday, and came home with some hand outs. In one of them, I noticed that CW-X has running tights with sheer panels to cool the runner down!

http://www.cw-x.com/ExploreProducts.aspx?gender=mens&product=tights&by=collection&sub=ventilator

I wish I knew about these, I would have inspected them at the show. The price is a bit steep, at just under $100 a pair for retail, they are a little out of my price range. I will have to keep watch for them on ebay, or at a discount price. As you can see, they have sheer panels on the thigh and back of the calf, that is supposed to cool the runner down. I just find it a step forward towards sheer legwear for men being more acceptable. If I really had balls, though, I'd just run wearing pantyhose and shorts!

Perfect time of the year to wear

Early spring is the perfect time of year to wear pantyhose and shorts. The weather here is sill cool, in the 50's and low 60's. The other day, I wore Comfilon 549's under my pants to the dentist. Now, these aren't regular pants. They are convertible, meaning that you can zip off the legs and make them into shorts. On the way home, I zipped off the legs, and rode home in shorts and hose. Later in the day, I did some light yard work in hose and shorts.

If you haven't tried convertible pants, they are great for wearing hose with. If you are brave, and want o venture out in hose and shorts, you can, and if you want to cover up, all you have to do is zip on your legs. Perfect for trying out wearing shorts and hose.

Cheap Department Store Pantyhose

Another staple of my pantyhose collection. No Nonsense hose can be bought in a 4 pack at Wal Mart for less than $5. They may not last long, but at less than $2 a pair, I wouldn't bitch if I put a run in one of them. These are my "work horse" hose. I may wear them around the house, or out and about, when I don't care if I have a fly. I do love the fly in the Comfilon and other hose specifically designed for men, but you do pay for that fly. The NN STW in tan also matches my leg color perfectly. I think I need to pick up another 4 pack...

No sun spots means cooler temperatures

That means that the hosiery wearing season will be extended! I heard this on the news earlier tonight, we are at a state of low solar activity, which means less of the suns energy reaching us, therefore lower temps!

I was pissed the other night. I had on a new pair of Comfilon 549's. I wore them to work, and after quite a few hours, I felt as if they were sagging in the legs. I made the mistake of trying to pull them up, then I felt it.....a friggin' run in brand new hose!
This is the thing I hate most about hosiery. I know that it is the nature of the beast, but it sucks to ruin a brand new pair, especially the Comfilon 549's. The pair I ruined, I got in trade, so it cost me nothing, and I was able to "glue" it to prevent a spead. Most people use nail polish. I use New-Skin, a liquid bandage, esentially the same thing.

This is a post about nothing

Hey If Jerry Seinfeld can do a show about nothing why can't I do a post about nothing! I have scoured the web for ides and there have been no new news stories about men's pantyhose, unless you count the news stories about men robbing stores while wearing pantyhose on their face. Maybe they should try wearing them on their legs, and they would have more luck!

I have noticed an ebay seller took my idea, and is selling the Doyeah hose. I hope they do well with my idea, hell maybe they got the idea here!

If you are interested one of the first pantyhose for men is for sale on ebay here:

Although they were sold as joke in the 70's and 80's, maybe they got some men interested in wearing hose. I have 2 pair. One, still new in the box, wrapped up in the original cellophane, and one which I have worn to the point that it is time to retire it. They are a hair too short for me, and made of 100% nylon. They did wear pretty well however. Not really practical but a fun product, and part of my collection of mens specific hosiery.

Time is almost up

It's almost time to retire the hose and tights for the warmer weather. I still wear them on occasion when it's warmer, but not under my work clothing. It just is too warm in the spring and summer.

Tonight, I almost didn't wear legwear under my regular clothing. I looked a the extended forecast, and saw that it would be cooler, and I did wear my A549's from Comfilon. The 549's do have to be my favorite hose. I remember when I first read about them in some type of men's magazine years ago. Before reading the short article, I never knew that there was a thing as men's pantyhose.

A second place prize goes to athletic spandex tights and shorts. I enjoy the feel of them, as they do feel a bit like hosiery, just with out the feet. It is also OK to wear them. If you are running or cycling, no one think differently if you are wearing "tights" Why does putting feet on them make then so different?

Speaking of which, I bought a pair of men's 3/4 running tights (knickers). If you remember, I was going to buy a case of Doyeah Cool Trunk tight, but chose to buy these running tights instead. I am so glad I did buy the running tights. They fit great, and work well when it i still a little cool out. I like having my knees covered when it is cooler out, they tend to ache less when covered. These 3/4 length tights did the trick.

When I first started cycling, I found it necessary to wear padded spandex shorts to help my ass from being sore from the seat. I never imagined wearing the spandex shorts alone without another pair of shorts over them. When I first did it, it seemed so wrong, but felt so good. It felt like I was just wearing my underwear. And, of course, the spandex also feel a bit like hosiery

Another link for our readers

While surfing, I found an old link of stories of men wearing hosiery:

http://mensinsite.tripod.com/stories.htm

I haven't had a chance to read them all, and those I did read, I think I was half asleep and can't tell you what I read. An oldie but goodie.

I've been to busy to write

As of late, I've been real busy. I'm still checking in, I just haven't had time to write. It seems that men's pantyhose in the news has slowed down. For some reason, the past week or so, the
LAUF has also slowed down.

I will keep up the good fight, however, searching for news reports, and new products. I'd love for our readers to hear it first here!

Do you ever look at the Urban Dictionary? "Mantyhose" has made it there:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mantyhose

I especially like the use in a sentence, "My husbands manthose is WAY more expensive than my pantyhose"

If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. A man who can laugh a himself will always be amused.

I'm going to hold off on ordering a case

I was all set to order a dozen of Dohyea Cool Trunk tights straight from China. I had plans to keep half, and try to sell half on ebay in order to try to make some of my money back. I probably could have pulled it off, but maybe instead, I'll place an order at a later date, once I see how these hose hold up. I may also try some of their other styles as well, instead of just the cool trunks. I will say, that if you are interested in any Doyeah products, you can order through them direct, and their prices, even with shipping are WAY cheaper than any of the other online retailers.

I am holding off for a couple of other reasons. First, I want to get a new pair of 3/4 length running tights for an up coming race. If the weather is cooler, I like the support and having my knees covered when running. I think that it more important right now. I also, thanks to a LAUF friend, have several pairs of Comfilon 549's . It's funny how some pairs seem to last forever without running, and some run right away. Today I'm wearing a pair, that I opened last year, and they have no runs in the legs.

No new news on the men's pantyhose front. I scan the internet almost daily, looking for new stories, products etc. I want to know, and I want to keep you our faithful readers informed!

I really like wearing pantyhose. I love the way they feel on my legs, and I really like that I can wear them in font of Mrs. PH, and that we are talking more about them.

Shout out to female readers

Do we have any female readers? Mrs. PH and I started this blog with hopes of getting some feedback from females, specifically, spouses of men who wear. If this is you, please don't be afraid to contact us by leaving a comment, or emailing us at phbalancedblog@gmail.com

I have had a chance to wear the Cool Trunk tights a couple of more times. The more I wear them, the more I like them. The trunk provides support, as well as giving a "free balling" feeling. It kinda feels like going commando.

I like them so much, I contacted Doyeah to see about buying them in bulk. I was actually thinking of selling them on ebay, but Mrs. PH said it probably wouldn't be worth the effort. I believe that she could be right. I'm still going to look into getting a case of them, and see what the actual price after shipping is. I may throw a couple up on ebay just to see what the market is. There were some Doyeah's for sale on ebay, but the auction went away. The only ones I could find were these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&
item=220375894360

Now that's price gouging!

So that's what it's like to have foreskin!

I bet that title caught your attention! If I had to describe them in one quick phrase, that would be it! I had a little more time today, and again tried on the Doyeah Cool Trunk tights. Maybe because I took a little more time this time, I did find that they fit better. I may be used to a higher waist, and that is why the waist felt kinda low when I tried them on the other day. I read that these are exactly the same as the Doyeah men's hose with a fly, except they have a trunk instead of the fly. After wearing them for a little bit, I did find the fit comfortable. Not sure how practical the trunk would be, but, the fit from the legs to the trunk, for me was perfect. The hose have a sheen and thus probably a high glide factor under pants. After a second wearing, I like them much more, and would consider buying them or the ones with a fly in the future.

By the way, I found someone selling the fly type on ebay last night. http://cgi.ebay.com/MACHO-MAN-ULTRA-SHEER-BLACK-10-DEN-NYLON-PANTYHOSE_W0QQitemZ220375894360QQihZ012QQcategoryZ37570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Interesting name, and wow they are price gouging! I had to watch the auction to see if anyone buys these for that price.

There was another article today about mantyhose. http://www.philly.com/dailynews/features/20090311_Jenice_Armstrong__Mantyhose__A_new_trend_.html

With all the articles about mens hosiery, and them all calling mens hosiery "Mantyhose" I wonder if actually creating a brand of mens hosiery called "Mantyhose" would sell? I know there's been a lot of free advertising about it!

Quick Shipping by Luxelegwear

I was surprised when I got home today to find my shipment from Luxelegwear was already in! I ordered it on Friday, and Monday it arrived!

I washed the Cool Trunk hose and the boxer briefs, and later tried them on.
As you can see the color is tan. They have a little sheen, but not too much. I am 5'11'', and about 175. The hose just fit me, maybe a bit too short in the waist, but that may just be a matter of personal preference. The "trunk" portion seemed to fit well. As I said in an earlier post, I do have man-t-hose. They don't fit me well, maybe a shorter man they would. The third leg in man-t-hose are just like that, a third leg. The "trunk" fits better. Time will tell how I like these. As I said, all I did was try them on and take them off.

I was less impressed with the boxer briefs. In the pictures, they looked to be made out of the same material as pantyhose, and tan or beige. In reality, they appear to be a pinkish yellow. They are also made out of a slightly see through spandex type material.

Luxelegwear was a pleasure to deal with. Their shipping was super fast, and Deb from Luxe sent a thank you note with the order. I would definitely recommend buying form them.

Now Mrs. PH was less impressed with each of them. she said that she felt the Comfilon's were better, when she saw a snag in the Cool Trunk hose. I would agree that they are a better fit and more practical.

I placed an order yesterday

With http://www.luxelegwear.com/ I ordered a pair of the Cool Trunk Tights, and a pair of the sheer briefs. I will be sure to post a review and possibly pictures of them (alone, not modeled) when they come in.
I like the idea of the briefs for warmer weather wear.

Congratulations are in order for one of our readers. Steve has just started a job working for

http://www.comfilon.com/home I wish him the best of luck. To get into the male pantyhose takes some balls. Although I support the furtherance of the men's pantyhose as an acceptable garment, I don't think I could go public with it. Kudos to those who do so that the rest of us can enjoy wearing in private, or under our regular male clothing.

Speaking of Comfilon, tonight I'm wearing Comfilon A677 medium support pantyhose with a fly. These are much more durable than the A549's. I have worn this pair several times, and no runs yet. Once I deplete my supply of 549's, I will probably switch to these for cooler weather wear.

More discussion has come up regarding the dreaded "F" word. Fetish. The word that LAUFer's despise. Well, let me explain my self. I, for some unknown reason tried on my mothers pantyhose when I was in puberty. I liked the feel, and continued doing it. One night while doing so, I had my first orgasm. I thought I broke myself! This, I believe cemented my desire to wear hose.

I like Mrs. PH getting involved

I love it when Mrs. PH posts or replies to readers responses. We don't always tell each other when we are posting, and what we are posting, so it is a nice surprise to log in and see a comment. Tonight, we were reading a readers response together, then she opened up the LAUF page. I love talking about pantyhose with my wife.

I went to order some of the Doyeah pantyhose with the "appendage" and Luxelegwear was out of stock. I emailed, and the responded quickly. Deb, the contact there said that she had to change the website to reflect that they are in stock. I will order a pair later on today.

It seems that all the chatter on LAUF isn't so negative about these hose. Some even feel that they can be practical. I do wonder, however, how many guys wear and say, "I'm wearing to be practical.", and also find wearing hose to be erotic. (not that there is anything wrong with it)

I'm wearing Shivers tonight. The weather has been crazy cold for the beginning of March. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow (today?) Probably tonight I will wear sheer hose, not tights to work under my regular clothing. March and maybe the beginning of April is the end of legwear wearing for me. When it begins to warm up, I shift from opaque tights to sheer hose. This only lasts a couple to three weeks, then it is too warm for hosiery until fall.
