Time to Switch to Sheer Socks

It is that time of year again, time to put away the tights and put on the sheer socks (stockings, knee highs). In the warmer months, even sheer tights (pantyhose) are too warm when I wear pants. I then switch to sheer stockings or socks , what ever you want to call them. I will still on occasion wear sheer tights (pantyhose) with shorts, but it is rare.

The picture shows me wearing Comfilon A 149's, which have now been discontinued. I'm not sure what I will replace them with. The have a sock that is more shear, and a support sock. I did stock up on these, but had a number of them fail last spring/summer. Does anyone else make a sheer mens sock?

Sorry it has been a while since I've posted. I had my big race last week, and preparing for that plus a lot of extra work before left me little time for blogging. I did wear the CW-X tights for the race, and the compression I believe helped to prevent some knee pains. I will be sure to wear these again for long, long races!

The End is Near

The end is near for me wearing tights. At least for the spring/summer! Don't fret, I will still wear, just not under my regular clothing for warmth. With the weather getting warmer, it will be time for me to hang up the tights for the spring/summer. Looking at the weather, I may have a last hurrah, getting out and riding my bike with sheer tights under my bike shorts later this week.

One thing I learned this winter, is that moisturizing ones feet will help to make your sheer hosiery last much longer. I had always had a problem with the feet getting runs, and since I started moisturizing, the sheers have been lasting longer.

I started moisturizing, to keep my feet smooth for running in an attempt to prevent blisters etc. Speaking of running, the big race I will be doing looks like tights weather. I will be wearing my CW-X Ventilator tights to the event next Monday.
