You readers rock!

Well we did it, over 2000 views! Special thanks to all the readers. Special special thanks to all of those who commented.

Regarding yesterday's post, about the new Doyeah pantyhose for men, with the "specially designed front pouch" I did end up posting about it at LAUF:

http://forums.delphiforums.com/LegwearUF/messages/?msg=7199.1

Someone brought up the fact that it looks like a fetish product, and will not help in promoting male hosiery. I say who cares! I have to applaud Luxelegwear for their courage to post the product, and pictures on their website. Legwear for men carries them, but you have to email them separately to order. They apparently don't want to offend anyone.

I think that they'll promote hosiery in a nice way.

I did think of them as a fetish item, when I saw them, but they do appear to be more comfortable than regular hosiery. I think that they'll be used as fetish items, but there are feet fetishes also.

In order for hosiery to make it into the mainstream world & to stay there, hosiery has to be acceptable for everybody & everywhere.

What do you think? Do you think that it could be accepted as a non-fetish item?

I am honored to have THE Hosiery Advocate, Eugene Wong as a reader, many thanks for your comment! Yes, hosiery can be a fetish, but can't it be both?

*chuckle* Thanks! I feel like such a movie star, when you say that. Some other fellow at the LAUF chatroom was so surprised to find out that he was chatting with me. I didn't know that it was a big deal for him. Thanks again. :^)

Yeah, I guess that anything can be both. Leather is worn by men and women for regular attire, sports, etc. and fetish usage.

The same goes for other materials.

On the other hand, we shouldn't be presenting it as a fetish to the mainstream world. I couldn't imagine saying to somebody, "Hey! You got a leather fetish? I ask because we could play baseball.".

On an related note, I said, "I think that they'll be used as fetish items, but there are feet fetishes also.". I just want to rephrase. I meant, "I think that they'll be used as fetish items, but that shouldn't be a problem. There are feet fetishes & high heel fetishes, also, but we still keep our feet & wear shoes.".

Subconsciously, we get hung up on hosiery, because "men only wear them to be gay" or "men wear them for sexual purposes"; etc.

On an unrelated note, remember the photo of the man standing next to the woman? 1 thing I like is that it says, "Women will gladly be intimate with men who wear it."; essentially calming fears and overcoming objections. On the hand, it makes it look like a sexual clothing item. No big deal, though, because hosiery can both.

Did you read what I wrote on MySpace about Patrick Stewart and his portrayal of Ebeneezer Scrooge?

I'm trying to find what you wrote about PAt Stewart, but I can't find it.

Will the new Doyeah hose move the men's hosiery movement back? I don't think it will. I do believe that hose can be both a fetish and practical to the same person. I believe this because this is how I feel. Mrs. PH, on the other hand, can deal with and understand the practical, but not the fetish.

If she can't deal with the fetish, then won't she be uncomfortable with this particular style? I ask because you said that you want a pair. I was under the impression that you would most likely be ordering a pair. Perhaps you meant that you were just thinking about it.

Oh, I forgot to comment on Patrick Stewart.

In the movie, he wore knickers [i.e. pants that went down to the knees] and black opaque hosiery underneath. It is considered so normal for that time period, that we'd have to force ourselves to notice them. He seemed very masculine, even though he wore hosiery. Nobody would question that.

I want hosiery to be so acceptable, that nobody would even notice them.

I don't even know where the blog entry is. :^D I just know that it's there. I'll give you a link if I ever find it.

We talked yesterday about the new Doyeah hose. She did say that she didn't like them, and if I did order them, she would not want me to wear them with her. That is most recently when she said that she was OK with wearing them for function, but not OK with the fetish. I still will probably order a pair next week, just to try them out.

Hi Eugene, Mrs PH here.

If Mr wants to order the doyeahs with the excess baggage, all the more power to him. I have no problem with him ordering them and wearing for the function. Just as I don't care if he's ordered the shivers, comfilon, etc. I just don't want to have hose as part of our sexual relationship.

As I told him last night, it's not complete acceptance, but some is better than none at all. And it's a heck of a lot more progress than we were a couple of years ago!

Kudos to Mrs. PH, you rock and I love you!

Hi Mrs. PH!

Thanks for being accepting of him wearing it as normal clothing. Even though I'm not involved in this, it means something to me. :^)

Some things just won't get us excited, when it comes to the bedroom, and I don't think that there is much that we can do about it.

I wish you all the best.

You're welcome. :^)

When I was blogging, I felt a little discouraged from the lack of participation. It was somewhat sad. I didn't want you to go through that.

Thanks Eugene, Mr PH likes getting comments. I want to hear from more partners, but I'll take what we get in the meantime.

And thanks for reminding Mr that there are things that just won't turn us on... Sometimes I think we as humans love something so much that we don't understand how someone else can't like it. And when the same enthusiasm isn't felt, we can feel a little frustrated and misunderstood. That goes for a lot of things, methinks.

Yeah, Mrs. PH, you're right about certain things just not turning us on.

I met a guy who had a thing for tight jeans with hosiery on underneath. For him, the less that you could see, the better. That was weird. I suppose that that is great from a modesty perspective, and maybe even a perspective of withholding the sight of hosiery to make us want it even more, but jeans never turn me on.

In fact, jeans will turn me off, if I were on. Imagine pulling a fresh loaf of bread out of the oven. If you like bread, then that is a great image. Now imagine covering that bread with a pair of jeans. I think that jeans are great as pants, but that's about it.
